Nansen-Tutu Centre’s 15-year Anniversary Symposium
The Nansen-Tutu Centre’s 15-year anniversary symposium was a resounding success, bringing together researchers from around the world to engage with a broad range of topics, from ocean processes and dynamics to the societal impacts of oceanic and atmospheric extreme events. The programme featured insightful keynote addresses by Dr Michael Hart-Davis, Dr Jennifer Veitch, Prof. Ebenezer Nyadjro, Prof. Willem Landman, Prof. Sarah Fawcett, and Dr Stephen Kirkman.
The symposium also hosted two engaging panel discussions, focusing on climate interventions and the Global Ocean Observing System in Africa. Beyond the scientific exchange, the event provided a vibrant space for reunions and for fostering new collaborations between students and researchers from both the Global South and Global North.
